Completed Project
Cambridge Public Housing Redevelopment
The project involves the acquisition and rehabilitation of 190 units of Public Housing in Cambridge Maryland. The redevelopment is implemented through the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) program. This program allows for the privatization of Public Housing facilities to allow for renovations and operational stability.
The project is financed through a combination of tax exempt bonds and FHA insured debt as well as low interest rate public financing. The ownership structure is comprised of a for-profit IDS development entity as well as nonprofit partners, the Cambridge Housing Authority and the NHP Foundation.
